Robert Wong, owner and operator of RP Development, has been doing construction since he was a teenager. Working his way from the ground up, he has strived to learn everything there is to know about his craft. After 40 years of work experience, you could say he knows his way around a project.
When Robert was 13 years old, he did what most other teenagers did--he worked! Taking advantage of his size (he had an early growth spirt), he picked up entry level construction jobs and stuck with it throughout high school.
Graduating from Fresno State University with a Biology major and Chemistry minor degree, Robert formed a knack for analytical thinking. He also worked part time throughout college in construction, maintaining his knowledge and expanding his skills in the area. He understood that his major and minor could help him outside the field of science as well, especially in building development.
After graduating, construction called to him and he decided to use his analytical training to pursue construction jobs full time. He moved to Shell Beach in the 90s, created a joint-venture with a former planning commissioner-turned construction expert, and started working.
Fast forward to today, Robert still maintains his strive for excellence in the construction world. He knows customers want a fair deal, top notch craftsmanship, and a product that will last decades without copious repairs.
